India is facing international criticism and protests after spokespersons of the ruling BJP party made derogatory comments about the Prophet Muhammad.
Gulf states and the wider Muslim world have condemned India - and some are demanding official apologies.

The BJP has distanced itself from the two party members, calling them 'fringe elements' and saying they've been disciplined. But that hasn't calmed the anger.
