Tomato farmers in Karnal, Haryana, are still reeling under losses after unseasonal rains damaged their crops last month.

The yield from farms has fallen, diseases are affecting tomatoes, and on top of it, prices in the wholesale market have crashed, they said.

The farmers said that last year, they were getting between Rs 600 and Rs 700 per crate of tomatoes, but this year, they are barely getting between Rs 150 and Rs 200.
