Actor-turned-politician Jaya Prada has said that Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan "shouldn't be allowed to contest" elections after a derogatory remark, allegedly targeted at her. Jaya Prada, who has been fielded by the BJP to take on Azam Khan from the Rampur seat in Uttar Pradesh, his remarks reflected his mental frustration, demanding that he be disqualified from contesting elections.
